The CFO Services team 

The team helps businesses with their financial reporting and accounting needs in all areas of the business lifecycle. The team works across a wide range of industries, to advise clients on matters such as interpretation and implementation of standards, preparation and consolidation of financial statements, and for accounting for business transactions.

The role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transformation Manager to join our growing CFO Services team. In this role, you will lead projects that help our clients implement and optimize finance transformation strategies, focusing on improving their finance operations, technology, and overall efficiency. You will work with senior stakeholders, helping them design and implement new finance operating models, enhance digital capabilities, and manage the integration of advanced financial technologies. 

As a Finance Transformation Manager, you will be expected to deliver high-quality solutions across areas such as finance process redesign, finance technology implementation, and financial reporting improvements, with a particular focus on various finance technology tools. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in finance transformation, accounting processes, and finance technology who are eager to make a meaningful impact for clients across diverse industries. 

Responsibilities

Lead finance transformation projects

  • Manage end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Oversee the development and implementation of target operating models, process reengineering, and digital finance solutions, including financial close processes and shared services models. 
  • Design and implement finance technology solutions to optimize key processes such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliation. 

Client engagement & stakeholder management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading strategic conversations, workshops, and presentations for senior management. Collaborate with client finance teams, senior executives, and technical stakeholders to align finance transformation strategies with broader business objectives. 
  • Provide expert advice on complex finance transformation topics, from process redesign to technology selection and implementation. 

Business case & technology enablement

  • Lead business case development for finance transformation programs, providing recommendations on technology solutions, organisational design, and process changes to enhance client financial operations. 
  • Drive the selection, configuration, and implementation of financial technologies that enable efficient financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance. 

Continuous improvement & methodology development

  • Lead the development of finance transformation methodologies, tools, and best practices. Continuously improve service offerings by identifying and implementing best-in-class practices and emerging technologies to enhance clients' financial processes. 
  • Conduct assessments of clients' current finance operations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for process optimisation. 

Team leadership & mentoring: 

  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on project delivery, technical challenges, and career development. 
  • Promote a collaborative environment, working closely with other teams (e.g., audit, tax, technology) to deliver comprehensive, integrated services to clients. 

Business development & proposal support: 

  • Identify new business opportunities within existing client relationships and drive the development of proposals for new clients. 
  • Participate in the sales process by presenting solutions, leading proposal development, and helping clients understand the value of finance transformation initiatives. 

Qualifications & requirements: 

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CA) are highly preferred. 
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance transformation, with a strong understanding of finance operations, process redesign, and technology implementation. 
  • Proven experience in managing finance transformation projects, including the implementation of financial systems. 
  • Expertise in finance processes such as financial close, general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting, as well as experience with shared services and process reengineering. 
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders, lead client workshops, and communicate complex solutions clearly. 
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensure project delivery on time and within budget, and manage client expectations. 
  • Experience in business development and proposal writing, with a track record of identifying and winning new business opportunities. 
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., XERO, Quickbooks, SAP). 
  • Experience with MAS regulatory reporting or familiarity with global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) is a plus.
